True Essence of Christmas

What does Christmas mean to you?
To me, Christmas means a time of happiness towards everyone. It is a time when families and close friends come home from all over the world to be with the people they love. To most people family and friends come first in their lives, so this is obviously a very favored holiday.
When it's christmas time, people exchange gifts often and take it for granted. This holiday is usually associated with receiving gifts. Personally, I think giving a gift is just as great as receiving one. Most of the time, giving gifts can be even more enjoyable. The whole idea of finding that perfect gift, making someone smile, and him or her realizing that you put that much thought into just one gift is just one way which christmas brings happiness to everyone.
They imagine seeing snow-covered houses, lit up all along the streets with their bright lights one trying to out do another, and a large fresh pine tree in their living room besides the window covered with lights and bulbs with an angel perched onto the very top. When they come in the kitchen, they smell the contagious aroma of the cookies. To me, it's not christmas without the decoration or pestive christmas treats.

Climate Change

Even though climate change is partially caused by the natural cycles of Earth, humans are still a major part of it. Greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide, absorb and emit heat in the atmosphere, keeping Earth warm enough to support life. However, human activities, such as burning fossil fuels, are adding large amounts of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. Earth must get rid of energy at the same rate if receives energy. More greenhouse gases mean that more heat is being held in the atmosphere, which in turn makes temperatures higher. All the greenhouse gases, people have added to the atmosphere are making temperature rise faster than they are supposed to, which will cause a multitude of problems that will affect the balance of the global ecosystem.
In the future, climate change will affect people worldwide. To start with, there will be increased health risks. Rising temperatures will cause longer and more common heat waves, which result in more heat-related injuries and deaths. Rising sea levels will cause flooding which can serve as breeding grounds for malaria and other parasites. Floods will also increase coastal erosion, and destroy people's home.

Outpouring Hearts & Minds Through Proficiency & English Literacy

English is one of the most important languages in the world. It can even be said to be the single most important language. Though other languages are important too, but not for the same reasons as English is. Why? Maybe because it is the only language that truly links the whole world together. If not for English, we may not be as united as it is today.
Modern English is the most dominant and  required international language of communications, science, information technology, business, aviation, entertainment, radio and diplomacy. The growing economic and cultural influence of the United States and its status as a global superpower since World War II have significantly accelerated the language’s spread all across the planet.
A working knowledge of English has become a requirement in a number of fields, occupations and professions such as medicine and computing; as a consequence over a billion people speak English to at least a basic level. Though these people might not have the same accent as others, the language at least will be understandable.
There are various reasons for the importance of English language. One of which is when we travel to other parts of the world either for business or personal reasons, without the knowledge of the English language we cannot be understood. English language helps to deal with any situation for it is considered as the universal language.
Now a call is made to each and everyone to learn and practice the English language better. By doing so we can face the world with our head up high and say, I am a Filipino; I have the access to the entire globe.

Equal Rights, Equal Opportunity

Well, first you might want to consider whether or not it is true that all people deserve equal opportunities, rights, and respect." For instance, does a murderer continue to have a right to liberty, or is society justified in taking that right away by throwing the murderer in jail. If you believe that the latter is true, then you do not believe that all people deserve equal rights. Likewise, unless you believe that an industrialist who sets up his own company that provides employment for over a hundred workers is just as admirable as a homeless person who has destroyed his mind with drugs, then you do not believe that all people deserve equal respect, either. So, you might begin by attacking the question and showing a capacity for critical thought when given a manifestly foolish prompt.

Next, you might want to start thinking about how you want to define your key terms (always a good way to begin an essay like this). So, what do you think the word "opportunity" means? "Rights?" "Respect?" Most importantly, what do you think the word "equal" means? Once you have come up with your own definitions of these terms, think also about how other people might define them. Then think about how these different definitions might affect both how true people think the proposition is, and how it might affect their support for it. By that point, you should be getting an idea of the various arguments that one can make for or against the idea that all people deserve equal opportunities, etc. Then you would start the rest of your essay by explaining why the arguments you agree with are right, and why the ones you disagree with are wrong.

My Modern Hero

In everyone's life, there are people who mean a lot of them but, everyone in a while someone even more unique comes along. This is a person  whom you can call a "hero". A hero is someone who has made a difference in my life and it is obvious to the people around my family and me.
All  of us can be a hero to a person and my hero is my mom and there is definitely no question about it. There are many reasons why my mom is my hero but here are just a few of them to mention. My mom is always there for me. My mom always knew how to kiss all my aches and pains, and make them feel better or, even go away. She's my hero because she was always with me. She was there if I just needed someone to talk to and she would always listen to me. My mom is a strong person and brave, she will do anything for my happiness. My mom is a hero because she always took me to the places that I wanted to go. She took me too many countless places and I will never forget any of them. My mom always made sure that I had my school work done on time. She helped me with my school work sometimes no matter how busy she might have been. She also listen to my problems no matter what they are. Even in my love life sometimes, she always has her pieces of advice for me that will help me to solved my problems. My mom is a hero to the students like me, because she has the patience to teach her students in their school.
Every people in this world have ther own hero's and we must be thankful to our hero's because they gave us chances and happiness in our lives. And I could be your hero and you will never have to be afraid.

Buwan Ng Wika 2014

Reflection

What are the challenges that you encountered this first quarter?
Challenges are the things where the people can learn diffent aspects in lives and it can make people to change. In this first quarter, I really enjoyed it. Many happy moments were done. During the first quarter, many contests that was done and our section is one of the participants. First contest is the Jingle about the Independence Day. We won in that contest and we prayed that it must win continously because that was a good start of our senior life. And in the finals of nutri jingle competition, we losed but we learned that we must dont give up and cooperate each other so that we will win on the next contest. And some will win and some will lose and we must understand that situation. Then we take the periodic exam last thursday and friday. I got high scores in some of my subjects and have a low scores in other subjects too. I am happy to meet those challenges because of those challenges, I can learn more. It means I will review well my studies and to participate in our class actively. I must fight those challenges so that I will be a successful man someday. And challenges are part of our daily lives so that people must learn for their own and to be a good example of a citizen someday amd to be a successful man after those challenges of their lives.

They protested about the places that are easily flooded when it has a heavy rain. They say that PNoy must concentrate on that problem so that no one will be flooded easily and many people died when flash floods attacks. They told that PNoy didn't talk about the pork barrel scam and many people protested about that again. Because they want to here the opinion of the president so that those people working in the government units knows how to do and to help the people or families that was experiencing poverty.
